22nd June, 2010 New book underway: Windows Phone 7 Game Development

Having recently finished up my game programming book for Windows Mobile, I'm very pleased to have now signed a contract with Apress to write a new version of the book targeted at Windows Phone 7 game development.

Windows Phone 7 has some fantastic capabilities for game developers, including a near full implementation of XNA (a powerful 2D and 3D graphics environment already in use on Windows and the Xbox 360) and Silverlight (a flexible user-interface environment which also has lots of potential for game developers).

In my new book I will cover everything you need to know to create rich and spectacular-looking games in either of these environments, and distribute them to the world through the Windows Phone Marketplace.

The new book is a near total rewrite, focusing entirely on the features and capabilities of this new platform.

Stay tuned for more details...
