How to play
This page offers a mini strategy guide to Tile Fall players, in order to help get a bit nearer to the highest scores. The guide assumes that you already know the basic rules of Tile Fall (if you don't, have a look at the online help -- this is supplied with all versions of the game).

The first thing to do is to identify which type of tiles are likely to get you the largest score. Because the scores increase with larger groups of tiles, you will usually want to try to get a single group of tiles to be as large as possible. In this game, the yellow tiles are looking promising...

Now we start to grow the yellow group by removing some of the surrounding tiles. Taking away the small red group at the bottom and the blue group at the top-left adds another three tiles to the yellows, taking the group from 14 tiles (worth 144 points) to 17 tiles (worth 225 points). Note that the value of the group has increased a lot, even though only a small number of additional tiles have been added.

With a little more work, every yellow tile on the whole board can be added to the single group. Note that no yellow tiles have been removed at this point -- they can all be removed in one single click. This group now consists of 28 yellow tiles, scoring a total of 676 points.

Now the yellow tiles have been removed, we're left with a small pile of blue and red tiles. It's pretty straightforward to remove all of these, clearing the board completely.

After clearing the board, the final score is displayed. 833 points from playing the game, plus 1000 points for clearing the whole board. Not bad -- but there's a long way to go before we'll get on the high score table... Keep practising though, your scores should improve in no time.
